Fellows In the Field: Ilisa
As I prepare to lead my second community build in San Diego, I can’t help but think how critical the Pomegranate Fellows Training has been to my career as a Landscape Architect. Working with underserved communities who have been burned multiple times over by the “engagement” process, it is critical that I approach each project with a well defined plan of action. The Fellows Training and ongoing support from the Pomegranate Center has given me the tools and confidence to take on these challenging projects.
Since going through the training over a year and a half ago, I have implemented various aspects of the Pomegranate Method into my work. From built projects to organizational development, this clear, step by step, easy to follow process works! Thank you so much for making me a better designer, facilitator, and program manager. The lessons you teach are invaluable and I would recommend to any Landscape Architect.
We are just at the beginning of our journey here in San Diego, but we now know that change CAN and WILL happen.
Thank you, Pomegranate Team!
