This year, on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, Pomegranate Center is participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving.
Last year, more than 27,000 organizations in 68 countries came together to celebrate #GivingTuesday. Since its founding in 2012, #GivingTuesday has inspired giving around the world, resulting in greater donations, volunteer hours, and activities that bring about real change in communities. We invite you to mark your calendar, join the movement and give back this December 1.
Some ideas include:
- Help spread the word about #GivingTuesday. In a season when most people are scurrying around to buy presents, talking about #GivingTuesday reminds everyone what the holiday season is really all about.
- Use the hashtags #GivingTuesday and #unselfie (see definition below) to talk about charity, your values, and the causes and organizations you support.
What is an #UNselfie? It’s a show of support for Giving Tuesday. Take a picture of yourself or you holding an #unselfie sign (make your own or print the one we created for you), tag it #unselfie and #givingtuesday and upload it to Instagram, Twitter, and/or Facebook now until December 2nd.
GivingTuesday isn’t only good for communities, it feels great!
We hope you’ll consider pledging your support of Pomegranate Center on #GivingTuesday to show that building stronger communities is important to you. With your help we can do so much more! CLICK HERE to donate now.
