132nd Square Park
Kirkland, WA 2012
Partners: Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, City of Kirkland
The beloved 132nd Square Park was in need of places to sit or take shelter from the rain. With the help of 175 volunteers, this park now has a picnic shelter made of cedar with a granite tile and sage green quartzite floor, a crushed gravel walking path, a stone wall and storytelling circle made of limestone, slate and donated rocks, benches and tables made of cedar, and beautiful hand-painted banners.
