Pomegranate Center was commissioned to integrate artistic elements into the Village at Overlake Station, a national model for high density, affordable housing build on the lid of a Park & Ride transit facility. We added a decorative welded-iron gateway, affixed 200 tiles with colorful images of animals to a breezeway wall, and several benches constructed of recycled plastic with ornamental carvings. Later we added fencing designed collaboratively with metal artist Paul Sorey after community meetings revealed a concern for increased safety. We also enhanced the entrance to the Hopelink office with playful imagery from the natural world.
